Application

APPLICATION

Applications are now being reviewed- please submit applications ASAP to be considered for this year. Eligible applicants include graduate students, professionals, faculty, and K-12 teachers. Applicants must complete the on-line application form first and then upload the required documents listed below:

  • a Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages),
  • a letter of reference
  • a statement of interest (maximum 1 page)

Note to applicants and those providing reference letters: To include required documents please click on the 'Attachment Documents' button below. You will then be asked to input the email address of an applicant that has already finished the on-line application process (see above). If the email address is found you will then be able to upload files for this person. Applicants will not be able to see documents submitted on their behalf. The submitted documents should be in pdf format.

An e-mail message will be sent upon completion of the application process.

The course is limited to 24 students and applicants will be notified of the outcome of the selection process by March 1st.

SCHOLARSHIPS

A limited number of scholarships are available to meritorious applicants in need. Scholarships will provide partial support for tuition, but cannot support lodging costs. To apply for the scholarship, applicants must justify the need for support and describe the envisaged benefit to their future career if awarded (maximum 1 page). For graduate students applying to the scholarship, the letter of reference should also include a verification of need from the advisor. Please create a one page document (in pdf format) and upload it via the "Attach Documents" link below.

  • a justification statement for need of support and a description of the envisaged benefit to future career if attending the Soil Summer Institute.

Scholarship awardees will be announced by early April. Documents must be saved as pdf files and then uploaded.
